Changing your UCE settings:
We have three UCE, (Spam) settings that you can change:
- None - Unknown and Improper mail servers may send you mail. No
UCE clearing houses are used to determine it's spam.
- Light - Unknown and Improper mail servers may send mail,
however we check incoming mail against UCE clearing houses.
- Heavy - Only properly configured servers may send you mail.
Mail is checked against clearing houses.
We believe everybody should use the "Heavy" setting.
However, we realize not everyone remotely has configured their mail
services properly. Using this setting will reject mail from those
sites which are poorly configured.
Therefore, we leave this decision to our customers. If you change
your setting to "Heavy" Remeber you did this when people
say they can't send you E-mail! Many people operate in misconfigured
environments. "Heavy" does not tolerate "rouge"
E-mail servers to send you E-mail. Spammers are often configured as
such! Also a lot of naive people use services which are poorly
configured. Often the diagnostic seems to imply we're at fault,
however that's just not the case. Do not say DNX is wrongly
rejecting your mail, or that we're somehow less informed. (People are
often unkind as well as flatly wrong! :-)
Here's a simple walkthrough path to change these settings:
You can change this setting here: https://billing.dnx.net/settings Doing so will bring up the following page:
(You can safely ignore the Windoze warning! The Cert is a private one.)
